Muzaffarpur: Once again the humiliating incident has come to light in Ahiapur police station area of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, where a young man burnt a woman alive after failing to commit rape. In this incident, the girl has got 80% scorched. The police has arrested the accused.

According to police, on Saturday, Raja Raj, a young man from the village, entered the house of a young woman in his neighborhood and attempted to rape the woman. When the woman protested this, the accused opened fire by pouring kerosene on the girl's body. After that Raja Raj admitted the injured girl to a small private hospital and then escaped from there. The victim's mother alleges that Raja used to harass her daughter for the last 3 years, which she also informed the police.

A police official said on Monday that the victim was admitted to the Sri Krishna Memorial College Hospital (SKMCH) in Muzaffarpur on Sunday night for treatment, and the accused youth was arrested after registering a case on the victim's mother's statement. Muzaffarpur Superintendent of Police Jayant Kant said that the police is investigating the entire case. So far the statement of the victim's woman has not been taken.
