Bihar is in drought threat, Nitish government is getting ready to tackle the problem

Patna: Bihar should have 51.0 millimetres of rainfall in general till may, but a mere 32.9 mm of rainfall has been recorded so far. The Nitish government has been gearing up to deal with the drought threat in the state. While decisions have been taken to renovate the water bodies, repairs to the Chapakalo have also been taken up.

The disaster Management department believes that drought and floods in Bihar are almost a problem every year. The disaster management department is always ready to deal with these problems.  An official of the disaster Management Department informed that the instructions have been issued to repair the damaged 30 to 35 thousand knives in the province at the earliest and to ensure proper management of all the reservoirs.

The province's ponds and other water sources will be renovated. The government has decided to renovate the pond, Ahar, pine and check dams on public land in all panchayats of the state from the Mgnrega scheme. At the same time, trees will be planted along rural roads for water conservation. The responsibility of renovation has been given to the Department of Rural Development.
