Patna: In Bihar, there is a village in Maharajganj in the Siwan district where there is not a single temple. Here the gods and goddesses are kept in the open space. The name of this village is Surveer. Residents here say that whoever tries to build a temple here is bitten by the snake. Which leads to his painful death.

Anuj Pandey, a resident of this village, said that many years ago, our grandfather wanted to lay the foundation stone at the Shiva Sthal of Tola of Pandiji in Surveer village to build the temple. But they were bitten by a snake and lost their life. Since then, if anyone tried to build a temple here, a similar incident happened to him. Many people have also seen the couple of Nag and Nagin here. Prakash Pandey of the village has said that this couple of Nag-Nagin lives near a tree. They don't harm anyone. But whenever someone talks about building a temple, the serpents bite him.

He said that even today, villagers come to worship Lord Shiva at the place of Lord Shiva at Tola in Pandiji of Surveer. But the panic of the Nag-Nagin remains inside them. Women also tell that the Nag Devta want to be open. Due to this when it comes to building a temple, some incidents happen. However, women say that people consider this place a lot. All the wishes of the people are fulfilled by coming here. In addition to Shiva Sthan, there are similarly open spaces for gods and goddesses at 8 places in the village.
