Patna: After a dispute with his wife, the husband shot himself and ended his life. The incident took place on Monday night at the sparrow spot in the bypass police station area of Patna City. Young Skanda Nandan Tripathi alias Goli lived in a rented house with his wife. He was originally a resident of Hilsa in Nalanda.

Police arrived at night after receiving information about the incident and started investigating the case. The youth had shot himself in the neck. The area was rocked after the firing. Police reached the spot and recovered a knife from the youth. Interrogation revealed to the police that the youth was addicted to drugs. He always quarrelled with his wife. Police have seized the body and kept it at Nalanda Medical College for postmortem. Young Skanda Nandan Tripathi is said to have had a love marriage. After that the sparrow place in the rented house lived in Begumpur. Since the incident, the family members have been in a bad shape. The boy's mother-in-law and his mother were also present when police reached the spot. The wife was questioned, but she didn't say anything.

In this regard, the young man's mother-in-law said that his daughter and son-in-law were having a fight. Seeing this, she went to call the people around her to let someone come and get rid of it. Then, when she returned, she saw that the son-in-law had shot himself in the throat. The daughter was sitting nearby crying.
