Bihar: A medicine trader shot dead in market, police investigating

Patna: Another drug dealer was shot dead by a drug dealer at Drug Mandi in Bihar's capital Patna on Saturday. The deceased businessman has been identified as Rajneesh Kumar, owner of Rajneesh Surgical. According to the information received, the deceased has a medicine shop at Govind Mitra Road in Pirbahor police station area of the district.

This morning, in a dispute over putting a bike in front of the shop, soon the quarrel between the two shopkeepers escalated to such an end that the owner of Durga Surgical fired at Rajneesh with a gun. One of Rajneesh's staff was also shot in the incident. The incident of firing in broad daylight in the busiest area of the city has created a sensation.

After the incident, Ananfanan Rajneesh and his staff were loaded onto the rickshaw and rushed to PMCH where doctors declared Rajneesh dead. While the staff is currently undergoing treatment. Patna SSP Upendra Sharma has reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. The matter is under investigation. CCTV footage is being scanned. Inquiries from nearby shoppers continue.
