Patna: Police have arrested Sonu Sharma, accomplice of betel's contract killer Mohammad Chand, who escaped after dodging the police, on Friday night. His house was raided and he arrested then. Sonu has confessed to his involvement in several robberies and other cases in police interrogation after his arrest.

Sonu was also with the notorious Mohammad Chand when he was nabbed by the police during a vehicle checking at Mathurapur Ghat on April 28. But he managed to dodge the police and escape. Later, Md. Chand had also escaped from Covid Hospital in Rosada. Police were reportedly constantly trying to arrest the duo. The whereabouts of the two were being continuously raided. According to reports, Mathurapur OP in-charge Sajay Kumar Singh led by Sadar DSP Pratish Kumar had raided several places on Friday night to arrest Sonu Sharma alias Sonu, the 26-year-old son of Suresh Sharma, a resident of Rahimabad village, an associate of Mo Chand.

In the case, he was arrested from his house in Rahimabad village of Bangra police station in collaboration with Tajpur and Bangra police. In the interrogation conducted at Mathurapur OP after his arrest, he confessed his involvement in the robbery in Muktapur.
