Patna: Police have arrested Praveen Jha, the main accused in the killing of five persons on the day of Holi at Benipatti in Madhubani district of Bihar. Apart from Praveen Jha, Chandan Jha, Bhola Singh, Kamlesh Singh, and Mukesh Safi have also been arrested by the police. Madhubani Superintendent of Police Dr. Satyaprakash confirmed this on Wednesday.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday said Bihar police has become JDU police. If they had not gone to the spot in the Madhubani case, the culprits would not have been arrested today. He alleged that the criminals have the protection of power in the case. Tejashwi further said that criminals roam around in Bihar openly and a case of 307 is filed against us for raising the voice of the people.

On Tuesday, the leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav had arrived in Mohammadpur in Benipatti to meet the families of the victims of the murder. Tejashwi said criminals in Bihar are stupid. There is no fear of government. It is said that there is a government of good governance in Bihar. Is this good governance? Five people were killed by firing indiscriminately in broad daylight. One is struggling with life and the other are dead and the government has not been able to give two words of consolation to the victim's families.
