Patna: Nitish government's liquor ban is being openly flouted in Bihar. This time a shocking case has come to the fore. In the capital of the state, Patna, liquor was overflowing in the lock-up of the police station of the Excise Department. Where 5 prisoners have been caught drinking. Not only this but two constables on duty have also been arrested for negligence. According to the report, 5 people were caught by the Excise Department on Tuesday afternoon from different places of the Paliganj police station area. Those who were locked in the lock-up of the police station.

After this, these people started drinking after ordering liquor in the lockup itself. Arrangements were also made for them. Someone present in the police station made a video of the party going on in the lockup and sent it to the higher police officers. After this, the Paliganj ASP formed a team and raided the lockup of the Excise Department. Found 5 people locked there drinking. The team immediately took action on all five. Along with this, two constables on duty were arrested for not serving their duty.   

Paliganj ASP Awadhesh Saroj Dixit has informed that the police had received a viral video. In which even after prohibition, five prisoners were drinking alcohol in the lockup. After that, we raided while taking action. Police have caught five inmates drinking alcohol on the spot and arrested two constables for dereliction of duty. On the other hand, the ASP said that the police are also probing the matter as to how the liquor reached inside the lockup.
