Bihar police recover illegal liquor, truck and Magic seized

Darbhanga: Police have recovered a large quantity of illegal liquor from a truck at the Kati station in Darbhanga district of Bihar. The estimated price of the seized liquor is Rs 50 lakh.

According to the report, the liquor laden truck was recovered from Darbhanga-Jaynagar NH-57 (b) at a secluded spot within about three km. The wine from the big truck was being loaded into a small magic. In the meantime police reached the spot.

The driver of magic looked at the police car from afar. Seeing the police, the driver, Khalasi and Labour managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness. Police have seized both the liquor-laden truck and the two bikes left on the spot. It may be noted that the full temperance law is in force throughout Bihar. The truck was kept in a large cleaning box. The cartons of liquor were covered with cement sacks to hoodwink the police's eyes. Most of the liquor was manufactured in Haryana.

City SP Yogendra Kumar and SDPO Anoj Kumar, who were reported to be holding a large cache of liquor, took to the group with a late evening team-force to learn about the entire development. Later, speaking to the press, he said where the liquor was coming from and where it was going to go, it was being traced. Information about truck-magic and both caught bike owners is also being removed.
