Gopalganj:, The product department has raided a large number of foreign liquor in a raid In Bihar's Gopalganj districton the basis of secret information. The product department has also detained three persons, including the main liquor businessman of Haryana. This action has been taken by the Department of Products at Balthari checkpost in Kuchaikot, bordering UP.

The price of seized liquor is estimated to be around Rs 30 lakh. Product Superintendent Rakesh Kumar said that he had received a tip-off that a consignment of liquor from Haryana had been brought to the big Gopalganj district. As soon as the secret information about the large consignment of liquor was received, the product department started combing all the vehicles coming to Balthari checkpost in Kuchaikot.

During the search, a huge quantity of illegal liquor was found from a Haryana number truck. According to information received, 300 cartoons of foreign liquor were concealed and kept in the truck under the guise of egg cartoons. The seized liquor was brought to the depot of Gopalganj Product Department along with the truck. Where the wine count was introduced. About 30 lakh illegal liquor was being transported from Sonepat in Haryana to Hajipur in Bihar.
