Home, shops used for liquor storage will be seized in Patna, new order issued

Patna: A new decision has been taken for the purpose of more strictly enforcing prohibition in Bihar's Patna division. According to this, if liquor is recovered from a house or shop, the local administration will seize both the house and the shop. Patna Division Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal held a meeting with all the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of his jurisdiction on Friday.

In that meeting, he gave instructions that from now on, if any house, shop, or warehouse is found to be used for storing liquor, the administration will seize all. In Patna, the police had recovered liquor worth crores of rupees in the past. The seizure was made from a godown located bypass police station. After this, Sanjeev Kumar Aggarwal held an important meeting on the alcohol ban on Friday and issued strict instructions.

Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal said that the house or shop seized by the government will be auctioned after all legal action is completed. Sanjay Aggarwal also ordered the officials to change the raids more to curb the liquor ban in the Patna division. Apart from this, the police patrol should be further increased during the night. DM and Superintendent of Police of Patna, Nalanda, Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, and Kaimur attended this meeting of Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal.
