Patna: Two schoolchildren suddenly got Rs 960 crores in their bank accounts in Bihar's Katihar district. Bank officials along with the students were stunned by such a huge amount of money coming into the student's account. When others came to know about this, they also started checking their accounts. This led to a rush of people in the bank.

According to media reports, two schoolchildren from Pastia village under the Azamnagar police station area rushed to the CSP Centre of the State Bank of India (SBI) to know about the amount to be sent by the Bihar government for school dress. When the duo took stock of their accounts, they found that crores of rupees were deposited in their accounts. According to the report, the bank accounts of the two have received Rs 960 crore, with more than Rs 60 crore in student Guruchandra's account and more than Rs 900 crore in Asit Kumar's account.

People and bankers standing around with the two students were also surprised to hear this. When the bank manager came to know about this, he stopped payments from both accounts. He said the matter is under investigation. Senior officials of the bank have been informed about the same.
