Patna: Bihar is experiencing a severe cold. The temperature has dropped sharply in many areas amid the cold wave. In view of the change in weather conditions, it has been decided to close all schools up to Class VIII in Patna. All government and private schools will remain closed till January 8. In view of the increasing cases of corona across the country, many states have closed schools.

However, schools in Patna have been closed due to a severe cold wave. As per the order issued by Patna DM, these schools have been given closed reasons for classes 1 to 8 from January 3, 2022. The order to close schools in Patna will be applicable to all government and private schools. These educational institutions will remain closed till January 8, 2022. The official order said that the ongoing cold wave and extreme cold in the district are expected to adversely affect the health and life of children.

Due to this, educational activities for all classes up to the 8th standard are banned in all government and private schools in Patna. Meanwhile, according to the MET department forecast, the cold may intensify in the next two days. However, the sky will remain clear during the day but may fall at night temperature. The minimum temperature may drop to about two degrees in the next two days due to a cold wave.
