PATNA: In light of Monday's call for Bharat Bandh against the Agnipath scheme, the Bihar government temporarily suspended Internet access in 20 districts. Since June 17, 12 districts have been suspended, and now the state government has decided to add eight more.
"The suspension of Internet services has yielded positive results, with violent incidents in Bihar decreasing dramatically. The state's agitators and anti-social elements were failing to spread rumours "a Home Department official said.
In Kaimur, Bhojpur, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Buxar, Nawada, West Champaran, Samastipur, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Vaishali, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Motihari, Darbhanga, Gaya, Madhubani, Jahanabad, Khagaria, and Sheikhpura, Internet services have been suspended.
