Patna: A minor girl has been abused in Bihar's Katihar district. Meanwhile, angry villagers thrashed the headmaster of a school over the issue. Under the information received, the police have also arrested the teacher and registered a case against him under the POCSO Act. The entire case is said to be from Pipri Bahiyar Primary School in the Semapur area of Katihar district. Eyewitnesses here said that the headmaster tried to rape a 12-year-old class IV student and bit her on the cheek.

Meanwhile, some people rushed into the room when they heard the girl shouting and lost consciousness at the sight. The accused was reportedly is isolated and locked in a schoolroom after the entire incident. Meanwhile, the girl's family and other locals came to know about the whole matter and all gathered outside the school. Someone informed the police and soon the police reached the spot for investigation. Meanwhile, while the police were taking the headmaster out, angry villagers attacked the accused and hit him thoroughly.

Not only that, the mob attacked the accused with sticks and thrashed him in front of the policemen who also tried to control the mob and eventually the police rescued the accused and took him with them. In this case, the accused claims, 'When he tried to molest the minor, his mental capacity was lost.' On the other hand, locals said, "This is not the first case of molestation of a girl in school. This time the villagers were very angry when the incident came to light and they decided to take the matter into their own hands and thrashed him.''
