Rohtas: Two children were killed on Monday after drowning in Mangrao village under Kachhwa police station area of Rohtas district of Bihar. The accident occurred while taking a bath. The villagers evacuated the children and took them to Nasriganj where doctors declared them brought dead after receiving reports of drowning.
The deceased children are said to be 14-year-old Ayush Anand and 12-year-old Roshan Kumar. The two were cousins. In connection with the incident, the two are said to have started bathing in the Son river. In the meantime, the children did not even know and went into deep water, causing them to drown. As soon as the locals came to know about it, they all rushed to the spot. Both children somehow pulled out of the Sone river. The two children were brought to Nasriganj by family members where Ayush and Roshan were declared brought dead by doctors. Here, mourning has spread in the family after the incident.
In this case, Kachhwa's Songaurav Kumar said that three children went to bathe in the Son river while playing, out of which two children died due to drowning. The third child left and informed the locals. Locals then rushed to the spot and evacuated the children to Nasriganj PSC. The postmortem of the body is being conducted after it is declared brought dead.
