Nawada: Unidentified miscreants attacked the base camp of a bridge construction company on Sunday night in the Naxal-affected Govindpur police station area of Nawada district of Bihar. The miscreants did not stop here, they set fire to vehicles parked there and brutally beat many laborers. The police has categorically denied it to be a Naxalite incident.

Giving information about the case on Monday, a police officer has told that the bridge is being constructed by RAS Construction Private Company on Sakri River near Baksoti village. On Sunday night, 12 to 15 armed criminals attacked here. The criminals set fire to a Poklen and a Sumo van standing there. During this time, criminals beat up scribes and laborers fiercely and escaped by robbing their mobiles and money. The Superintendent of Police and other police officers reached the spot as soon as the information was received about the incident.
