Chandigarh: Just a day before the voting for the Punjab Assembly elections began today on February 20, party leader and Bihari Babu Shatrughan Sinha have created new trouble for the Congress. Amid the ongoing tussle over Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi's 'Bhaiya' remark, Bollywood actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha on Saturday said that Channi, as a public figure, he should know how to keep himself.

Regarding the same incident, Sinha wrote on Twitter, however, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi has already made his point and Priyanka Gandhi has supported it. But still being a public figure, our friend Channi, who is currently CM, should know how to keep himself. Public stars should pay attention to the language while choosing their words. Being a Bihari babu, this has not only bothered me but has also saddened many people from other states, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi. Jai Hind!"

In fact, this week, a video of Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi has gone viral. In this video of Ropar, he is seen urging voters of Punjab to support the Congress in the assembly elections and keep away the 'Bhaiya' of Bihar, UP and Delhi. Channi was in Ropar to address an election rally in support of Youth Congress leader Barinder Singh Dhillon, where he said, "Let us unite all Punjabis and not let Bhaiyas of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi enter Punjab." In the wake of Channi's speech, senior party leader Priyanka Gandhi was present on the dais next to Channi. In the video, Priyanka is also seen shaking her head and praising the comment.
