Ranchi: Bright fever in Bihar has become an epidemic. By Tuesday afternoon, the death toll due to the disease had reached around 108. An alert has also been sounded in the neighbouring state of Jharkhand. The state government of Jharkhand has asked all medical colleges, hospitals and institutions to remain on high alert.

On behalf of the Jharkhand government, the heads of all institutions have been asked to be prepared for all situations. In fact, the state government is also afraid that every day people from Bihar to Jharkhand are moving. If there are cases of transfer from Bihar to Jharkhand, it has been asked to keep all preparations in place.

In the past one week, the death toll due to bright fever in Bihar has gone up. So far, 89 children in SKMCH hospital in Bihar and 19 in Kejriwal hospital have lost their lives due to this fever. On Tuesday, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar visited Muzaffarpur. However, there was a lot of protest outside the hospital and Nitish Kumar shouted 'Go back'.
