Fatehabad: A motorcycle-borne family fell into the Bhakra canal in Fatehabad of Haryana. The case pertains to Saniyana village under the Bhuna police station area. Brijpal, 30, who was riding a motorcycle, was rescued in the accident. But his wife Manju and 3-year-old son were washed away in the canal. Police are currently searching for Manju and her son.
According to the information received, Brijlal, a resident of village Bhaini Badshahpur village, was returning to his village on a bike with his wife and son from village Parta at 7 pm. On the way, his motorcycle fell into a canal near Saniyana village unbalanced. As soon as the motorcycle fell into the canal, some persons present at the spot jumped into the canal and rescued Brijlal. But the flow of the canal was so fast that his wife and son were washed away in it.
Brijlal, who fell unconscious after drowning in the water, was rushed to Uklana hospital. where his treatment is going on. DSP Ajaib Singh said that the police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Manju and her son are currently being searched. At the same time, it is also being investigated how the accident happened.
