Bike Safety Features: Three Must-Have Technologies for Rider Protection

When it comes to bike safety, most people are aware of the importance of disk brakes. However, there are three lesser-known safety features that can make a significant difference in ensuring the safety of riders. These features are not available in all bikes, but some models do offer them.

The first feature is Traction Control, which helps prevent the motorcycle from skidding or losing control, especially on slippery roads or when riding on uneven terrain. This feature is particularly useful in situations where the bike's tires may lose grip, such as on wet roads or when riding on gravel. By preventing the bike from skidding, Traction Control helps riders maintain control and avoid accidents.

The second feature is ABS, or Anti-Braking System. ABS is designed to prevent the bike's wheels from locking up during hard braking, which can cause the bike to skid or lose control. By preventing the wheels from locking up, ABS helps riders maintain control of the bike and avoid accidents. This feature is especially useful in emergency braking situations, such as when a pedestrian or animal suddenly appears in the road.

The third feature is Combined Braking System (CBS), which links the front and rear brakes together. In bikes without CBS, the front and rear brakes are separate, which can lead to loss of control if the rider is not careful. With CBS, however, both brakes are linked, so that when the rider applies the front brake, the rear brake is also activated, and vice versa. This helps to distribute the braking force evenly and prevent the bike from skidding or losing control.

It's important to note that not all bikes come with these safety features, so riders should do their research and look for models that offer them. By understanding the benefits of these features, riders can make informed decisions when purchasing a new bike and enjoy a safer riding experience.
