Islamabad: The political turmoil in Pakistan, which is struggling with poverty, is at its peak. Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the government will not hold any talks with terrorist organizations that do not respect the country's laws and constitution. In an interview during the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Bilawal also accused former Prime Minister Imran Khan's government of adopting a policy of appeasement towards Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

"I am sure that if we can work with the Afghan interim government, which has influence over these groups, we will be able to maintain our security," he said. Bilawal Bhutto further said that the country's new leadership, both political and military, would not negotiate with terrorist organizations that do not respect the country's laws and constitution.

When asked whether Pakistan expects the new Afghan government will take action against TTP. Bhutto said that both of us are victims of terrorism. I do not believe that the government of Afghanistan will be successful against terrorism on its own. We have to work together. He said that the whole aim of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is to make Pakistan a democratic country. We believe that democracy is the only way to deal with extremism and terrorism. When asked if he could become PIA this year, Bilawal said that for that he would have to win the election first.
