Bhopal: Samples of crow and wild birds in 32 districts, including poultry farm birds in 3 districts of Madhya Pradesh, have been confirmed to have bird flu infection till Tuesday. About 3,890 crow and wild birds have been visited in the state since the 26th of December till date. Animal husbandry Minister Prem Singh Patel has instructed the districts affected by bird flu to increase caution and vigilance. It has been revealed that bird flu, which started with the death of crow in the state, has reached 32 districts including poultry farms in 3 districts of the state. Patel said that the virus in the poultry farm in Jhabua, Harda, and Mandsaur is being investigated by killing the chickens and burying them and as per the advisory issued by the Government of India.

On this, he said that in addition to these three districts, 29 other districts-Indore, Agar Malwa, Neemuch, Dewas, Ujjain, Khandwa, Khargon, Guna, Shivpuri, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Vidisha, Datia, Ashoka Nagar, Barwani, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Dindori, Mandla, Sagar, Dhar, Satna, Panna, Balaghat, Surepur, Chattarpur, and Raisen have been found to have bird flu in crow and wild birds.

As per the information received, Patel has demanded from poultry farm agencies in unaffected districts that they have to be fully vigilant. The control room of your district has to be informed immediately as soon as the unnatural death is reported in birds or chickens. He directed the officials of the animal husbandry department to disseminate the prevention and prevention control of avian influenza and also to monitor the reservoirs and sanctuaries. Keep the preparations for PPE kits, equipment, stock of medicines, etc., required to deal with the emergent situation. Patel said that so far 3,890 crow and wild birds have been reported to have died in the state. 453 samples from various districts have been sent to National High-Security Animal Diseases Research Laboratory, Bhopal.
