At present, the threat of bird flu is looming in the country. The second wave of this end is now being feared. In fact, after a gap of 10 days, the latest case of bird flu in Kerala has now increased the apprehension. Apart from Kerala, some suspected cases of bird flu have also increased in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. The state government is on high alert after the latest case of bird flu was reported at Alappuzha in Kerala.

Last Wednesday, the state animal husbandry department said, "The National Institute of High-Security Animal Disease, Bhopal has confirmed the presence of the virus in at least 300 samples. "Well, you may know that the first case of bird flu was reported on 29th December in Jhalawar in Rajasthan, after which it spread to 10 other states of the country. In view of this, thousands of chickens, hundreds of crows died and there were some migratory species.

Now officials say the work of identifying birds and catching them will start from Thursday. More than 5000 birds in the first phase, most of which will be eliminated. Around 80,000 ducks and 10,000 chickens were apprehended in Alappuzha and Kottayam districts at the beginning of January. In Chhattisgarh, 45 Maina birds have been found dead near a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in the Bijapur district of the Bastar region. Officials said last Wednesday that samples of five birds have been sent for avian influenza testing.
