Kanpur: The administration is now on high alert after the confirmed bird flu in wild chickens found dead in Kanpur Zoo four days ago. The birds present in all the enclosures of the zoo have been instructed to kill by Sunday evening. Simultaneously, the area from the zoo to one kilometer has been declared as a container zone. Not only that, the sale of meat within a radius of 10 kms has also been banned.

The zoo was closed for 15 days after the bird flu was confirmed. But now, indefinitely, Ju has been closed down. No one will be given entry in the Zoo. The health department team is currently present in the zoo and is being prepared to kill the birds. According to the information, the chickens and parrots will be killed first. Then there is a readiness to kill ducks and other birds. According to the officers of the zoo, it is sad but it has to be done under the protocol. All birds have been ordered to be killed by this evening.

Also, four wild chickens and four Himana parrots died in Kanpur zoo 4 days ago. It was all birds locked in the cage. Out of these, bird flu has been confirmed in the dead chickens. In addition, crows were found dead in Sonbhadra, Barabanki, Ayodhya and Jhansi. They have been sent to Bhopal for sample test. It may take a day or two to report. In view of the manner in which the state-by-state bird flu is spreading its legs, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has already issued rescue guidelines.
