Birender Singh, who is the Union Minister today, said that, Centre is making all labors increase steel production so that India could become the 2nd largest steel maker in the world.
As per the Singh said, "The central government has started taking steps to boost the country's steel production. Rs 62,000 crore will be spent to enhance the production capacity of steel manufacturing plants.”
"India is at present the third largest steel producer in the world. The Centre is taking steps so that it can grab the second spot in the next two-three years," Singh said
He said, “The Steel Ministry has set a target of producing 200 million tonnes of steel next year"
