We have recently celebrated Independence day and have remembered the sacrifice of the freedom fighters. Numerous people have have fought against Britishers and sacrificed their life for independence of motherland. Among all, Shivaram Hari Rajguru was one of the freedom fighter who challenged Britishers and sacrificed life for the independence of the country.

Rajguru was born on 24 August 1908 at Khed near Pune to Parvati Devi and Harinarian Rajguru. He was born in Bitish India and he dreamt of free India therefore he joined Hindustan Socialist Republican Association.He joined Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev to fought against the British rule. In order to take revange of Lal lajpat Rai Death they planned assassination of a British police officer J.P. Saunders in 1928. All three man convicted of the charges.

The hanging of 22 year old Rajguru along with Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev was scheduled on 24th March but they are hunged one day earlier on 23 March 1931. These courgeous young men who challenged the Britishers were cermated at the banks of sutlej river in Ferozpur district of Punjab.

His birthplace of Khed was renamed as Rajgurunagar in the honour of this brave revolutionary. On his birth aniversary we salute him and remember him for his contribution in freedom of nation.
