Venkaiah Naidu, the prevalent Vice President Of India is sharing his special day with opposition party leader Akhilesh Yadav. VP who is completing his 69th birthday was born on 1st July 1949 in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district. He studied in Zilla Parshad High School, Bucchireddy Palem (Nellore) and completed his graduation in politics and diplomatic studies from V. R. College and international law from Andhra University College of Law, Visakhapatnam. He started his political career at the college level by joining  ABVP. During Jai Andhra Movement(1972) that was led by Kakani Venkata Ratnam, Naidu came into limelight for the first time. After that while the Emergency which was declared in Indira Gandhi’s administration he went to jail for the protest on the street.

After joining BJP Naidu successfully elected as MLA from Nellore district in 1978 and 1983. For Rajya Sabha, he was elected thrice in 1998, 2004 and 2010. In 1999 he served as Union Cabinet Minister for Rural Development in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s reign. He greatly worked for rural development by inaugurating many roads project like 'Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana’. Being a popular leader of BJP he was elected as National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party from 2002 to 2004. In 2014's Modi Government, he had the responsibility of Urban Development, Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs. He was elected fourth time as Rajya Sabha member in 2016 that helps him in Vice President’s nominations. In August 2017 he championed in Vice President Election by defeating Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Gopalkrishna Gandhi.

The victorious politician is also a part of Swarna Bharat Trust which is a social service organization that helps needy and poor children in their study and provide self-employment services to women. Notably, he also learned Hindi to increase his influence and to easily communicate in Northern India.
