The only name which comes to my mind when I hear the word Sufi, folk and fusion is the one and only Kailash Kher. I know there are so many other Sufi singers who have big names in the music industry, but still, the person who keeps me connected to the Sufi music that reaches to my soul is of Kailash Kher. His songs make me realize how beautiful can scar be and how soulful can love be. He is famed for his earthy voice.
Kailash Kher in an interview said that. “When you say traditional music, then it remains that way. It is not on us to change the form of music in any way. It’s just how we incorporate different vocals and tune to it,” “Whatever you become and wherever you reach in life, never leave your roots and humility. Stay true to yourself and never leave your passion.”
