The very famous, Vir Das has been honoured for performing very well in Arts with a doctorate degree. Now that he is being addressed as 'Dr. Vir Das'
He is the first actor- comedian to receive a doctorate degree. The event will be in June 2018.
Vir Das's comedy is different than the rest, he is the sole person responsible for bringing the American styled humour and mixed it up with Indian Culture. The successful comedian is the first to be satrred on Netflix.

Vir Das was seen appreciating his university for letting him study and giving him all the facilities which he couldn't have afforded.
His wife already calls him "honorary doctor das".

The young man stayed in Nigeria before moving to the US for his further education.
he made his Bollywood debut in Namaste London.Also seen in noticeable roles in 'go goa gone' and 'Delhi belly'.
The comedian was even awarded for best supporting actor in Delhi belly. Along with his co-stars, he also earned a nomination for the Screen Weekly Awards for ‘Best Ensemble Cast’ for the same role.
Vir Das married Shivani Mathur in the year  2014.

He has also attracted controversy because of his remarks on former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam while he was doing a show in Delhi.
