Sanjeev kapoor who kept the Indian traditional and regional foods into global map is celebrating his birthday on this day (April 10). He never fails to impress the foodies with his delicacies and tries to bring the heavenly plate onto their taste palate. In the world of flavour, he is one of the top celebrity chefs from India who got honoured with many awards for his culinary prowess.

Sanjeev Honoured With Many Awards For His Culinary Excellence For his contribution in the culinary section, celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor is honoured with the Padma Shri Award (Fourth Highest Civilian Indian Award) by the former President Pranab Mukherjee. A popular name in Indian households, thanks to his TV show 'Khana Khazana' which is the longest running cookery show in Asia and won the 'Best Cookery Show Award' which is presented by the Indian Television Academy in 2001-08 and 2009-11 respectively. He hosted 'Khana Khazana' cookery show on television for more than 17 years. He won the 'Best Executive Chef' in the world by the H&FS. Singapore airlines hired him as one of the members of the 'International Culinary Panel' in 2006 to create a meal called 'Shahi Thali'.

He is also awarded with the 'Mercury Gold Award', Geneva, Switzerland by IFCA (Indian Federation of Culinary Association). Kapoor owns a chain of restaurants, 'Yellow Chilli', and even launched his own channel 'Food Food' in 2011. Kapoor was flown to Abu Dhabi to prepare a vegetarian meal specially for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2015, shows how the dignitaries also fall for his heavenly taste.
