Ankur Nayyar was born on 27th May 1977 in Pathankot in the state of Punjab, India. He is an Indian Television Actor & Film Actor who is known for his work in Television Serials as well as in few Bollywood films.

The TV celeb was raised in Pathankot, Punjab. His stint with television started at the age of 24 with the iconic television series called Kasautii Zindagii Kay where he played the parallel lead. After which he never looked back and played either the lead, parallel lead or supporting role in almost all the television drama that he has worked in.

 He played a supporting role in Des Mein Niklaa Hoga Chand from 2004 to 2005 and his character Rajveer Kapoor was liked by all. He played the lead antagonist role in the television series called Viraasat in 2007.

His portrayal of Acharya Raghvendra in the renowned television series Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap added many feathers to his cap. He played the role of Indrajit in the epic series called Siya Ke Ram. He is currently working on two television series called Meri Durga and Prem Ya Paheli - Chandrakanta.

 Besides the small screen, he has also acted on the silver screen. He made his film debut with the film titled Yakeen in 2005. He played a brief role in the film. After four years, he returned to the silver screen with the role of a CID officer in Detective Naani and again played the role of a police officer in the super hit film Singham in 2011.

 He has also been seen in various commercials such as Maruti Alto, Ponds, Rotomac Pena and Kodak film among others. He is married to TV actress Krishna Kohli and together the couple has a daughter.
