She is also a lyricist and poet. Spruha Joshi started out by working in plays from her school and college day before eventually making her mark on the silver screen. Other than acting, Spruha has also penned a book, she published her first book titled Chandanchura in 2009. Her second book, Lopamudra is a collection of poems. She finished her education from Balmohan Vidya Mandir, Dadar, Mumbai and later proceeded her graduation in Arts from Ruia College in Mumbai. The diva made her silver screen debut in 2004 with Gajendra Ahire helmed by Marathi-language film Maai Baap where she was seen as a child artist. After her debut movie, the actress took a hiatus for six years to complete her education. In 2015, the actress had two releases viz. A Paying Ghost and Bioscope.

The actress started her campaign in 2016 with a cameo in the Joji Raechal Job directed film Paisa Paisa starring Sachit Patil, Milind Shinde, Ashish Newalkar, and Vinita Joshi.  As a child artist, while still studying in 7th grade, Spruha appeared on the TV show De Dhamaal. In 2008, she played the lead role of Advocate Uma Band in the TV series Agnihotra. She garnered household fame with it.
