Unfortunately, the number that appeared on Google was a fake number that belonged to a fraud. Unknowingly, Priya called the operator of the fake 'customer care' and spoke to her who asked for her bank details. The person told Priya that Rs.76, being a small amount, cannot be refunded online. He suggested that if he deposited Rs.5,000, he would refund them Rs.  Priya accepted her and made 5,000 drinks through Google Pay. However, they did not get this amount. By then the fraudster had come to know about the bank details, he told Priya that he had sent OTP and he would have deposited the money if he told him the OTP would be deposited. When the money still did not reach her account, Priya repeatedly told OTP, based on the fraud instructions.

Thus, the fraud took out a total of Rs 40,000 from Priya's account. Then Ja Priya realized that it was a fake number. Priya lodged a complaint at the Wadapalani police station and the police is investigating the phone number.
