On Wednesday, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs gave its approval to the proposal to infuse Rs 1,340 crore in regional rural banks. This will improve the capital position of rural banks. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said at a press conference that the cabinet approved the use of Rs 670 crore from the central government's share for the scheme. In his address, Javadekar said that the cabinet gave its approval for the construction of Aligarh-Harduaganj flyover. This flyover will be a total of 22 km long. It is expected to be completed in the next five years.
