BJP and CPI clashes on district today

Monday, party workers of the communist party and the Bharatiya Janta Party with several activists, including former BJP state president V. Muraleedharan and other rioted at Kattayikonam under the Pothencode police station limit here. Meanwhile, few cops were injured.

The Pothencode police said a torch rally was led by Mr. Muraleedharan in Kattayikonam around 7.30 p.m. A few men, allegedly owing allegiance to the CPI (M), picked up an argument with the participants of the rally.

However, on Tuesday the BJP called hartal in the district. And vehicle would not be blocked and school or examination would not be affected said party leader. Meanwhile, some police men suffered from serious injuries reportedly one police men sustained from serious head injury after the clashes between the workers from both side reaching the spot.and more than 30 worker from both side also injured.
