BJP has announced the names of 4 candidates for the Karnataka Legislative Council elections. Pratap Simha Nayak, MTB Nagaraj, R Shankar and Sunil Valyapure have been declared candidates for BJP. However, the party did not give tickets to H. Vishwanath.

The tenure of seven members of the Karnataka Legislative Council, elected by the members of the legislative assembly concerned, ends on June 30, for which elections are to be held on June 29.
