Bengal elections: Dilip Ghosh hints in tweet uprooting Trinamool congress

Kolkata: West Bengal is going to polls for the seventh phase today. Meanwhile, Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh posted a picture on Twitter indicating the overthrow of Mamata Banerjee's party Trinamool Congress from Bengal this time.

More than 86 lakh voters will decide the fate of 284 candidates in 34 seats including CM Mamata Banerjee's home constituency Bhawanipur. An election official said that in view of the violence in the pre-poll phases, tight security arrangements have been made for the seventh phase of voting. In the fourth phase, violence broke out during voting in Behar, killing five people.

Polling is underway in nine assembly seats in Murshidabad and West Burdwan districts and six each in South Dinajpur and Malda districts and 12,068 polling stations in four seats in Kolkata in the seventh phase. These include Bhavanipur constituency from where Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee is a current MLA and is a resident of the same area.
