Amravati: A fire of violence in Tripura for several days also erupted in three cities of Maharashtra last Friday. In fact, violence erupted in Nanded, Malegaon and Amravati last Friday afternoon.  However, the police had controlled the situation by evening. But this has now triggered a controversy over the issue and today the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for a strike in Amravati.  In fact, the BJP has made a major and sensational allegation against the police for being mute spectators during the day-long stone pelting, looting and vandalism by the Muslim community in the city.  Due to this incident, BJP has now declared a strike in the city today. Moreover, the 'strike' has appealed to all the business communities in the city to keep all shops closed till 4 pm on Saturday.

Yesterday Muslim organizations staged violent protests in Nanded, Amravati and Malegaon in Maharashtra on Friday to protest against the recent incident in Tripura. Meanwhile, shops were forcibly closed and police were also pelted with stones. Police have now reached the spot and are investigating the case. A video has also surfaced from Amravati. In the video, some people from Muslim organizations are seen standing at the chowk shouting slogans with the Tricolour. The Uddhav government in Maharashtra is being cornered by sharing a video of the incident on social media. In the video, locals say that 200-250 people entered the shops and assaulted them. The pictures show glass scattered everywhere. People are sitting with the shutters of the shops closed out of fear.

Shops have been opened after the media and police arrived. The shop has also been ransacked a lot, a particular community pelted stones at the road that was lined up. According to media reports, there have also been reports of violence in Malegaon. Shops were also damaged there and clashes broke out with the police. Bjp leader Tushar Bharti has demanded strict action against the protesters following the incidents.
