West Bengal is witnessing a political chaos amid the Assembly polls. In between campaigns and rallies a BJP's Malda candidate Gopal Chandra Saha was shot. Yes, according to the information received, BJP leader Saha was shot at neck in the district on Sunday.

The incident took place while campaigning for elections in West Bengal att Sunday night. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. Mr Saha who was shot a bullet injury in his neck and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Amid the West Bengal Assembly election campaign someone shot him in Malda’s Shahpur area. According to media reports, a video footage has been shared on social media in which it is clearly seen that Gopal Saha has been injured badly and is being brought to the Malda Medical College and Hospital. In the meanwhile, election going on in the state are held in eight phases. Till now five our of eight phases have been completed. The first phase started from March 27 and the final round of voting will take place on April 29. Whereas, the sixth phase of the poll scheduled on April 22.

The Malda constituency will go to polls in the eighth phase on April 29. The final counting of votes will take place on May 2.
