BJP leader outraged over comparing Mumbai Sakinaka rape to 'Kathua' in 'SaamAna'

Mumbai: A few days ago, a rape took place in Sakinaka, Mumbai, and now there is an allegation between Shiv Sena and BJP in the case. In fact, the recent Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' answers BJP's questions on women's safety across Maharashtra, including Mumbai, today (September 13, Monday). Sanjay Raut today compared Sakinaka rape in Saamana to 'Kathua' and 'Hathras' rapes in BJP rule state.

In fact, he has written in Saamna, "Before questioning the safety of women in Mumbai and Maharashtra, the BJP should look into the status of women in its states. BJP's women's wing president Chitra Wagh has now hit back at her statement. In fact, he has termed this editorial written by Sanjay Raut as Joke of the Day. Recently, Chitra Wagh said, "The issue of introducing a power law to protect the women of the state has come to the fore, but the work of strengthening rapists with various arguments has started. There is no FIR. For this, we have to take refuge in the court. Those against whom FIRs are lodged roam in the open. Today, it is the rapists who are saying that we will not spare the rapists, it has become the joke of the day. This double standard is not going to go on.''

Chitra Wagh also said, "BJP has full condolences over rape cases in other parts of the country. But she lives in Maharashtra. So, she will raise questions related to Maharashtra and the Thackeray government will have to answer those questions. Let me tell all of you that recently Chitra Wagh had met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on the issue of continuous atrocities against women in the state. During the meeting, he had given a letter to the Governor appealing that just as there is a speedy trial and punishment for an offence like atrocities in the state, there should also be promptness in the case of atrocities against women.
