Bhopal: Statement of Women Child Development Minister Imarti Devi in Madhya Pradesh government at this time has created a ruckus. BJP has been engulfed in controversies due to her statement. She had said in the past, "If we ask the collector, we will get more seats." On her statement, the Election Commission has sought answers from the administration and the collector. Now there is a response from the BJP about this.

Recently BJP state media in-charge Lokendra Parashar has described Imarti Devi as a naive woman. On the election notice, she said, "Imarti Devi is a naive woman, she gave such a statement, she did not know that there was something wrong in whatever she was saying". Apart from this, he said, "The Election Commission has sought the answer by taking cognizance, the government and the collector will answer it, if not satisfied once, they will have to answer again".

BJP said, "The way Congress is demanding that Imarti Devi should not be allowed to contest elections, its demand is illegitimate because the Election Commission will work accordingly, not according to the Congress". A video of Minister Imarti Devi went viral on social media. In that video, she was saying, "If we ask the collector, we will get more seats." Congress accused her of misusing power to manipulate the election results.
