New Delhi:  BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj, along with other BJP workers, led a public rally on Sunday against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing his government of failing to provide clean drinking water in the slums of Malviya Nagar, Delhi. The rally highlighted the growing discontent among residents who feel ignored by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

"For a decade, the Aam Aadmi Party government has neglected the people of Delhi. Today, we are here at Indira Camp and Valmiki Basti in Malviya Nagar, and the people here are outraged by their living conditions," said Bansuri Swaraj. She criticized the Kejriwal government for not fulfilling its promises, particularly the pledge to provide piped drinking water to residents. "There is one tap for three slums. This is the same Aam Aadmi Party government that promised piped water. Forget piped water and free water; the government can't even provide safe drinking water. The water available here is contaminated, coming straight from the sewage. How long will the people of Delhi suffer from the false promises of the Kejriwal government?" she questioned.

Swaraj also pointed out that many slums are left without electricity, adding, "Most of the slums here are enveloped in darkness, so they don't even get free water or electricity." Simultaneously, BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from the South Delhi constituency held a rally criticizing the Delhi government for high electricity bills imposed on slum dwellers, and its failure to provide old age pensions and ration cards. "For the last six years, the Arvind Kejriwal government has stopped issuing ration cards. Our elderly have not received their old age pensions from the government for the last six to seven years," said Bidhuri, highlighting the ongoing grievances of the poor and elderly in the area.
