New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is at the forefront of the Facebook campaign in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, has reduced its spending during the Bihar elections. According to Facebook advertising data, the party is not in the top 5, while the BJP is at the 10th page of Bihar. However, in the case of Facebook search, the BJP is still ahead from the rest of the parties.
According to the last three months data, 1214 commercials have been given on the BJP's Bihar Facebook page with an expenditure of Rs 31.44 lakh. As compared to Bihar, the BJP has started increasing its expenditure on West Bengal elections. It has spent Rs 33.63 lakh and has given 134 commercials. Rs 45.65 lakh has been spent on the Indian Political Action Committee's Facebook campaign page 'Banglar Gorbo Mamata ' in support of Mamata.
Even though the BJP is lagging behind in terms of expenditure, the BJP is at the forefront of word search on Facebook. Out of the total search, about 48 thousand people have only been searching for BJP. The search result has the highest number of advertisements related to West Bengal. After the BJP, about 45 thousand people have been searching for India. The word of real estate, social media marketing and Wetlands have also been searched on Facebook.
