Begusarai: The main opposition BJP has attacked the Grand Alliance government over law and order after two motorcycle-borne criminals opened fire at six places in four police station areas of Bihar's Begusarai district. Several senior BJP leaders have cornered the Nitish government over the incident.

Two motorcycle-borne criminals opened fire at half a dozen places on NH 28 and NH 31, in which one person was killed and eight people were badly injured, who are undergoing treatment in different private hospitals. District SP Yogendra Kumar himself is leading this campaign to catch the miscreants. The miscreants have created the most havoc in the Teghra police station area. Now after this firing, all BJP leaders are busy surrounding Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav on the basis of poor law and order.

BJP's Rajya Sabha MP and senior leader Sushil Modi attacked and said that 11 people were shot and injured by two motorcycle-borne miscreants in Begusarai. This is the first such incident in the history of Bihar. Senior BJP leader Ashwini Kumar Choubey wrote on Twitter, "The incident of open firing and shooting of 10 people in Begusarai, Bihar is a reflection of the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Nitish Ji, is this the rule of the people? Ever since the Grand Alliance government came to power in Bihar, the morale of the miscreants is high. There is panic among the public.'' Nikhil Anand, general secretary of the BJP's OBC Morcha, attacked the Nitish government on Twitter and wrote, "The incident of open firing and shooting of 11 persons in Begusarai is very sad and unfortunate. It seems that there is no law and order in Bihar, liquor-mining mafia and criminal gangs have full freedom in the new government. Criminals are fearless and the general public is scared.''
