New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party has lashed out at former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on the occasion of Shaurya Diwas. The BJP blamed Nehru for PoK, saying he did not take care of the country's interests. BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said Raja Hari Singh of Kashmir wanted to merge with India.
Gaurav Bhatia further said that Nehru's friendship was with Sheikh Abdullah. Due to this independent India saw invaders. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia further said that we have seen that Kashmir, which is an integral part of India, is under illegal occupation of Pakistan. In such a situation, if Nehru Ji had taken this decision, then it would not have been an issue of PoK.
The spokesperson of the saffron party further said that we have seen how India has taken its stand on this issue in the United Nations (UN), but it was also a big mistake that Jawaharlal Nehru, which was our internal issue, had been given it. Placed in the United Nations and made the pride of Pakistan. Bhatia said that today the people of India are asking the question that if Nehru Ji had taken a decision on Kashmir on time following the footsteps of Sardar Patel, then perhaps India would not even face the jihadi terrorist we are witnessing.
