Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday sounded the poll bugle for the 2023 Assembly elections, saying that the state government's good governance will earn the party a positive mandate from farmers, women, and the weaker sections.

Bommai called Vijayanagar a holy land and said the BJP has begun a democratic battle based on the ideals of fairness and positive democratic values while speaking at the convention. "Let us continue to march forward under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's capable leadership and his social programmes. Let us march together, and we will win "he stated

"For our good governance, enforcing law and order, and protecting the State's and nation's unity and integrity, we shall seek a positive mandate from farmers, women, and the weaker sectors. With our performance report card in hand, we shall go to the people and win their hearts. Let us make Lotus bloom in people's hearts and on the third level of the V2023 polls." Bommai went on to say. Bommai praised Modi's leadership, saying, "The entire world has embraced him as a wonderful leader, and we are pushing forward under his leadership to chart a glorious future for the State and the country."

Bommai launched a harsh attack on Congress, claiming that the grand old party lacked the moral authority to discuss corruption. "The preceding Congress administration at the centre gained notoriety for the 2G, 3G, Defense, and Coal scams. Even the country's security was harmed by the Congress government's involvement in defence acquisition frauds "Bommai went on to say that Congress was just concerned with power and the number of votes it could get.

In an assault on the Congress, the Chief Minister said that the party is only concerned with power and vote bank politics, which is fostering communal strife in the state.
