New Delhi: Anurag Thakur, a minister in the Modi government at the Centre, launched a scathing attack on Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday. Thakur said Kejriwal looted the money of the people of Delhi and made the liquor mafia rich. The Union Minister said that the poor people were leaving Delhi at the time of the corona disaster and the AAP government was also engaged in making money for the liquor mafia at that time.

He said "On these serious allegations of corruption, the Lieutenant Governor (LG) wrote to the Home Ministry for a CBI probe and Kejriwal remained silent on that. This clearly shows that under your (Kejriwal's) nose, your people have committed a scam together. A corrupt person like you (Kejriwal) has no right to be in power.'' Anurag Thakur further said that Satyendra Jain Ji has not got bail yet. There were serious allegations of corruption and went to jail and as soon as he went to jail, he (Satyendra Jain) lost his memory. Is Manish Sisodia also going to lose memory? Kejriwalji, your Corruption Minister should resign immediately.

The Union Minister said, "Serious cases of corruption are coming to light one after the other from your departments. You made lofty claims before you came to the state, but your Government is setting new records of corruption. You have given shelter to the corrupt. The way you lied on TV and could not respond to any of the BJP's allegations shows that there has been a big mess.'' Let us know that LG Vinay Kumar Saxena has given another big blow to the Kejriwal government in Delhi. The LG has recommended a CBI probe into the Delhi government's new excise policy. It is being told that the Lt Governor has taken this step after the report of the Chief Secretary. According to sources, the report has said that several rules have been ignored. The Kejriwal government has been accused of irregularities in the distribution of licences.
