Dehradun:As many as 34 devotees have died till Friday due to the ongoing Chardham Yatra in Uttarakhand. In this case, the Government and the Health Department are engaged in giving their own clarifications. At the same time, state BJP spokesperson Shadab Shams has made a strange argument that the death of devotees is taking place due to religious belief. There is also a reason for attaining salvation.

BJP spokesperson Shadab Shams said that devotees believe that salvation is found in Chardham. People come here from this perception as well. At the same time, Shams further said, "The devotees who have died due to the yatra, they had come on the Chardham Yatra for salvation expressing their faith in Badrinath and Kedarnath and they had hidden their diseases so that darshan could be done. That's the reason for his death.

BJP spokesperson Shadab said, "According to religious belief, the devotees believe that if they die in Chardham, they attain salvation. This is the reason why devotees are reaching for darshan by making excuses while hiding their illness. He is dying of serious illness. While better arrangements have been made in the dhams for the devotees from the government side. Every effort is being made by the government to make this journey a success.
