Kolkata: In West Bengal, the police has arrested Rakesh Singh, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Pamela Goswami drugs case. Pamela has accused Rakesh of implicating her. In this connection, the police wanted to record the statement of Rakesh, but he was coming to Delhi instead of appearing before the police on time. Due to this, he was arrested from East Burdwan.

Late-night BJP leader Rakesh Singh was brought to Kolkata from Galasi police station in East Burdwan. During this, Rakesh Singh, while talking to the press people, attacked the Mamata Banerjee government of Bengal fiercely. He said that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will not come to power in Bengal by shutting down my son. Abhishek Banerjee, Bobby Hakeem and Om Prakash Mishra have together arrested me. Rakesh Singh further said that whoever protests, TMC will do so with them, retaliate, I don't know why arrested, I was going to Delhi for party work. I also have to go to the Supreme Court. A time of two days was found, but in the meantime, it was done forcibly with me.

Earlier, Rakesh Singh sent an email to Kolkata Police, in which he said that I am going to Delhi today, so I will be available for investigation on February 26, but I have two conditions, first, my personal security along with my central security personnel, will have to be allowed and during the second interrogation, two of my lawyers will also be present.
